Time Management

For clarification, I didn't look at this assignment early enough to make a schedule off predictions of how much time I spend on each thing, but for my Stats class I have to keep track of my everyday schedule so the information in calendar is the reality of my everyday schedule. My schedule looks hectic, but I'm still able to get all my assignments done in a timely manner and not stress about cutting too close to deadlines. Looking at my schedule, it may seem like I procrastinate a lot because I have a lot of "time wasters" but I see them as mental breaks. As someone who is taking over 12 units this semester with classes that does everything asynchronously, I know how important it is to not procrastinate so majority of my days are filled with hours of studying and doing homework. Every once in a while I'll take social media and Netflix breaks to take my mind off of school for about 10 to 30 minutes. I've found these breaks crucial because, doing school work for...

Recognizing the Need for Change

I feel that in order for me to feel optimal  health, I need to prioritize my mental and physical health. My mental health has been something I've struggled with since high school after I took on a great deal of responsibilities, struggled to find where I fit in, and tried to hide my depression by adding more to my plate. Personally, I did not have a great high school experience because of the decline in my mental health, but I know that I do not want to carry that same experience into college since our college experience is already limited as it is. My physical health is also something I really need to improve. In high school, I was able to get in most of my physical activity through volleyball and junior year I even decided to do play club volleyball and do track & field at the same time. However, during off seasons I rarely engaged in any physical activities. Then when COVID hit the states, I definitely lost all motivation to be ac...

My Sleep Habits

Check the appropriate boxes: Usually Sometimes Never I get 7–8 hours of sleep at night.      X           I feel sleepy or have trouble focusing during the day.     X I take a nap when I feel drowsy or need more sleep.     X I fall asleep or have trouble staying awake in class.          X I fall asleep while studying.     X I stay up all night to study for exams or write papers.          X Looking back at my sleep schedule this week, I get about 8 hours of sleep on both weeknights and weekend nights, but even 8 hours of sleep is not enough to help me function properly throughout the day. During this week, I've noticed that with the amount of sleep I'm getting every night, I get drowsy and start slouching in my chair halfway throughout the day while studying. I also tend to take a lot more breaks from studying because my attention span becomes shorte...
